Individual disk imaging
Each member is assessed independently, and readable media is imaged before array reconstruction is attempted.
Virtual reconstruction
RAID level, disk order, stripe size, parity rotation, offsets, and file-system structures are reconstructed away from the original array.
Business validation
Priority data sets, shares, virtual disks, databases, and folder structures are verified against the recovery objectives you define.

A rebuild is designed for a healthy degraded array—not for uncertain disk order, multiple failures, unreadable sectors, or damaged metadata. It can overwrite parity and the remaining recoverable structure.

What should I do when a RAID becomes degraded?
Stop nonessential activity, document every message and drive bay, and avoid replacing or reseating multiple disks. Do not initialize or start a rebuild until the member health and failure sequence are understood.
Can you recover a RAID after a failed rebuild?
Potentially. Recovery depends on which disks participated, how far the rebuild progressed, whether source members were overwritten, and the condition of each disk. Preserve all original and replacement drives.
Do you handle NAS devices such as Synology or QNAP?
NEPFOSYS evaluates multi-disk NAS and storage-pool cases, including member-disk failure, lost volumes, corrupted arrays, and enclosure or power faults. Keep the complete NAS, all labeled drives, and any replaced members.
Can you prioritize specific business files?
Yes. At intake, identify the servers, virtual machines, databases, shares, date ranges, and folders that matter most. The recovery plan can prioritize those objectives when the media permits.
