Authorization
By submitting or delivering a device, you represent that you own it or are authorized by the owner to request evaluation, access, repair related to recovery, imaging, data recovery, and return. You authorize NEPFOSYS LLC and any case-approved specialist provider to perform the steps you approve for the case.
Evaluation and approval
Initial information is used to determine the next reasonable step. Symptoms, time, price, and likely outcomes may change after physical inspection or deeper evaluation. Chargeable recovery work does not begin until the applicable scope and price are communicated and approved, except for separately disclosed evaluation, shipping, destination-media, or donor-part charges you authorize.
No recovery guarantee
Data recovery is an attempt to retrieve usable data from media that may already be damaged, degraded, altered, encrypted, overwritten, contaminated, or previously worked on. No particular file, folder structure, percentage, timeline, or result is guaranteed. Evaluation and recovery attempts may reveal or worsen pre-existing failure despite reasonable care.
No data, no recovery fee
For eligible cases, the recovery labor fee is not charged when no usable data meeting the agreed recovery objective is recovered. This policy does not automatically waive separately disclosed evaluation fees, donor parts, destination media, shipping, taxes, prior work, emergency service, or approved specialist-provider costs. Case eligibility and any exceptions are stated before the applicable cost is incurred.
Existing damage and prior attempts
You agree to disclose drops, liquid exposure, electrical events, encryption, unusual sounds, openings, repairs, scans, formatting, resets, rebuilds, part swaps, and recovery attempts. NEPFOSYS is not responsible for damage, loss, or reduced recoverability that existed before intake or resulted from incomplete or inaccurate incident information.
Credentials and encryption
You are responsible for providing valid recovery keys, passwords, passcodes, accounts, or original hardware when they are necessary and lawful for access. Data recovery does not bypass valid encryption or device security. Do not submit credentials through the public website form.
Recovered data and verification
Recovered files may be delivered on customer-provided or separately purchased destination media, through an approved transfer method, or by another method stated in the case. You are responsible for reviewing the communicated file listing or sample and promptly reporting concerns before final acceptance or deletion of working copies.
Shipping and transport
You are responsible for safe packaging and accurate shipment information until the package is received and accepted. Use tracking and appropriate insurance based on the replacement value of the hardware. Data itself generally cannot be insured by ordinary carrier coverage. NEPFOSYS is not responsible for loss or damage caused by a carrier or inadequate packaging, but will reasonably assist with available documentation.
Specialist providers
Some mechanical, firmware, NAND, microsoldering, clean-air, forensic, or advanced cases may require work by a vetted specialist provider. When that changes the approved scope, handling, or price, the case is updated and your approval is obtained before the related chargeable work proceeds.
Privacy and lawful content
You must not use the service to access data without authorization or for an unlawful purpose. Device and case information is handled according to the NEPFOSYS Privacy Notice and applicable law.
