Do not reinstall macOS or erase the disk to make the Mac usable.

Installation and repair actions can write to the storage. If the data matters, stop before Disk Utility erase, First Aid on unstable media, or Internet Recovery installation.

Can you recover a FileVault-encrypted Mac?

Potentially, when the storage can be stabilized and valid credentials or a recovery key are available. We cannot bypass FileVault.

Can data be recovered from a MacBook with soldered storage?

Possibly, but the path depends on the exact model, board condition, security architecture, and whether the storage and encryption systems can be made operational.

Should I replace the logic board first?

Not when data on soldered storage matters. A replacement board does not contain the original data and can remove the original board from the most direct recovery path.
